Austin J. Knuppe, M.A., is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the Ohio State University. With concentrations in international relations and political methodology, his research interests include the evolution of military doctrine, American grand strategy, and the study of religion in international politics.
Prior to OSU, he was a Robert Bosch Fellow in Berlin working in policy planning at the German Federal Ministry of Defense and as a visiting fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). Austin Knuppe has an MA from the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago and a BA from Calvin College. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he and his wife Amy, have called the Midwest home for the past ten years. Austin and his wife have one son.
