Dr. Kimberly Thornbury serves as vice president at The King’s College in New York City, leading enrollment, marketing, communication and strategic planning. Previous to her move to New York City, Kimberly served as senior vice president for Student Services and dean of students for fifteen years at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
Dr. Thornbury studies and writes about college student development. Her most recent work includes a chapter in the book Making a Difference: Empowering the Resident Assistant.
Kimberly graduated from Messiah College, and holds an MA in Higher Ed Administration from the University of Louisville and a Ph.D. in Higher Ed Administration from Regent University.
Kimberly has served for over twenty years in Christian higher education and has a particular love for college student success.
Kimberly’s husband, Gregory Thornbury, is the president of The King’s College, and they live on the upper west side of Manhattan with their two teenage daughters.
