Dr. Robert K. Jabs, Professor Emeritus, received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University, and a Master of Business Economics (MBE) and Ph.D. degree from Claremont Graduate School.
Dr. Jabs served as Department and Division chairman, and Interim Dean of the School of Business at California Baptist University in Riverside, California from 1978 to 2008. Since 2009, he has been a university consultant. During his university career, he expanded the business school curriculum and established the first “Biblical Principles and Management” course at the university. He led the accreditation process of the school of business which made California Baptist University the first Christian college in the Western United States accredited with ACBSP. In 2004, Dr. Jabs received the Trustees’ Distinguished Professor Award.
He has been active in both public and private organizations, such as the Riverside Mayor’s Commission on Aging, the Library Expansion Committee, the Board of Directors for a local bank, and many church volunteer positions.
Dr. Jabs is a strong advocate of applying Biblical Principles to business organizations. In honor of his work, California Baptist University named the School of Business after Dr. Jabs.
