Lucas Wehner, Director of International Cooperation at the Heidelberg Institute, originally from the city of Halle (Saale), is an administrator at Internationale Hochschule Liebenzell, university of applied sciences, with the areas of responsibility of international office and library as well as partially marketing and communications.
Between 2007 and 2011, Lucas Wehner studied Business Administration und Political Science (concentration: international relations) at California Baptist University (CBU) in Riverside, California, USA. During this time, he was active as international student assistant for the international center, and teaching assistant for the chair of the department of history and government at CBU.
Also, he underwent internships in public diplomacy at the German Embassy Washington, DC and the Foreign Policy Task Force of the CDU/CSU-Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag during this time.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in 2011, Lucas Wehner continued in an Master of Business Administration program at CBU where he finished in 2012. As part of his studies, he received several university and national recognitions. During his graduate studies, he was active as graduate assistant of CBU's international center.
Afterwards, he worked as integration specialist for the German Federal Employment Agency, welfare section SGB II, in his hometown Halle (Saale) between 2012 and 2013.
Since 2013, he has been an administrator in higher education in Southwestern Germany.
His passion is for God, his vision is for a Christian higher education system in Germany, and his prayer is for a calling of all nations and languages to God.
